antique-sorrento-jewleery-box-circa-1920
Antique Italian Sorrento Jewellery Box C1920

This antique wooden box with intricate geometric micro-mosaic detail, originates from Sorrento in Italy, circa 1920/1930. The box is is beautiful condition with the two little drawers on the side which open perfectly and have the original silk lining. There has been some restoration and alteration to the box hence the price - the four little gold feet on the base are new and these would've originally been wood. The internal section as you lift the lid has been replaced with a new material. It is possible that at some stage this was a musical box given the small hole at the base. It is a gorgeous jewellery box and the mosaic is in superb condition.

Dimensions

40cm length x 15cm deep x 7cm tall when lid closed and 19cm tall when lid open

Delivery

£4.80 UK delivery.
