Travel to a bygone era with this wonderful olive green steamer trunk/travel trunk. The trunk is a very large size with brass latches on the front of the trunk, as well as two thick leather handles with metal attachments on either side of the trunk. (one of the leather handles is slightly damaged) It is made from wood and canvas. The trunk also has wooden strapping/planks all around for protection, bolted on with metal studs and nails. There are remnants of original labels and owners details written onto the trunk and the internal lining is totally stunning with striped fabric that is in spectacular condition with an additional wooden tray that is removable. The trunk is very heavy and there are many scuffs and tears at the corners and other sections, consistent with its age and use. The locks do close but there is a lot of rusting but it all adds to the vintage charm. A stunning coffee table!
