I absolutely love old theatre posters and programmes. The typography, the wording...the gently faded hue of the paper. And this is a beauty. An 1891 programme detailing the royal visit by the German Emperor & Empress of Germany to the Royal Italian Opera at Covent Garden on Wednesday 8th July. It has a slight silver sheen as well. It also has a lovely frame and blue toned mount (these are not antique).
