A beautiful hand coloured illustration, dating from the 1880s, that appeared in “L’Art et la Mode”, which was a historic French fashion magazine founded in 1880 with the subtitle” Magazine of Elegance”. It published the first advertising fashion images and covered high society and the jet set life. This beautiful illustration is framed in a modern gilt frame and lovely textured cream and gold mount. I adore the detail of the dresses.
