Victorian Paper Mache Trinket Box with a Portrait of a Young Boy

£20.00

A charming Victorian handpainted and paper mache trinket box, richly decorated with floral motifs and a portrait of a young boy. The portrait would have been painted on paper and then pasted to the box. It probably would have sat on a dressing table with something small and treasured inside - perhaps even a lock of hair. It is a little timerworn and rustic but with oodles of charm.
