A wonderful 19th century heavy wooden bucket used for pulling water up from a hand-dug well with a hand-forged iron ring on top for attaching a rope. The sides have iron supports as well and the bucket was probably constructed by a cooper.
Perfect for plants and flowers or even to store towels or firewood. It does not sit flat but is rounded so moves around. Could be hung from a ceiling but it is heavy. A beautiful patina for its age.
