A beautiful 19th century oil on wood, depicting an idyllic rural scene with a fisherman at a lake amongst the beautiful tall trees. A calming painting for any room. There is some wear and tear and scratches and has old woodworm (which has been treated again as a precaution). The wood is also ever so slightly bent. I do love the faded beauty and it is a wonderful and unusual shape. It will look beautiful propped up on a shelf or hanging.
