An exquisite antique French dinner plate in "Terre de fer" (Ironstone) made the famous Salins earthenware factory which began in the late 1800s and was the first quality earthenware factory.
"Terre de Fer" was a trade name and similar to porcelain and became very popular in the early 1900s. The blue transferware design and cream coloured ironstone is beautiful. It is in good condition and has no chips or cracks.
