An exquisite antique French dinner plate in "Terre de fer" (Ironstone) with a beautiful navy coloured floral transferware design on the border of the plate and cream coloured ironstone. It has some browning in the centre. It is numbered on the reverse but no makers mark.
"Terre de Fer" was a trade name and similar to porcelain and became very popular in the early 1900s. It is in good condition and has no chips or cracks.
