A very large and wonderful antique cast iron embossing letter stamp with striking floral design and gold detail which is in beautiful but timeworn condition. It definitely had industrial use. The plaque on the back reads Jordan & Sons Limited, Chancery Lane, London WC, who were publishers and printers and active between 1900 and 1929.
The actual stamp does not seem to emboss when we tried although there does seem to be something there. Perfect as a decorative piece for a home office or living room and also an excellent doorstop or paperweight! It is very heavy.
