This is a beautiful Victorian chair with mother of pearl inlaid detail and gold hand painted patterns. It is missing the seat so it is purely for decorative use in a bathroom or bedroom to hang over clothes or towels or it could be restored. It may originally have had a cane seat. Some signs of wear and tear on the ebonised paint.
