These are beautiful mid 1800s porcelain plates by Copeland Spode dating from the late 1800s stamped at the base. They are ivory bodied with a beautiful brown decorative design. Perfect decorative pieces for a plate stand or wall decor, great for practical use too or simply lying flat on a coffee table.
Copeland Spode pottery history traces its origins to Josiah Spode in 1760s England , with the Copeland fanily taking over in 1833. The company became known as W. T. Copeland and Sons and remained in the family's control until 1966. Under their management, the company continued to produce famous transfer-printed patterns.
