Very Large Early 1900s French Needlework Tapestry with Original Gilt Frame
An exquisite French handmade needlework tapestry dating from the early 1900s and depicting a religious scene - a mother and children giving alms. The colours are still so beautiful for its age. It is behind glass and also in the original decorative gilt frame. Very heavy and it no longer has a back so the tapestry and original vibrant colours are visible. The frame is chipped and rustic in sections but this adds to the timeworn beauty.
