This is such a unique piece and I can imagine the hours it took to create this handcrafted beauty. During the early 20th century Arts and Crafts movement, artisans often incorporated studs, tacks, and coin-like metal inlays into wooden objects to highlight craftsmanship and honest materials. This earthy wooden bowl has a studded rim and a variety of coins on the sides formed into a floral pattern surrounded by studs. The coins feature classical motifs and King George V amongst other motifs. A very special and unique antique piece.
