I adore antique boxes and this is a beauty. A beautiful example of early 20th century craftmanship, it is made from leather with a hand-tooled pattern of an abstract sunburst. It feels very much in the style of Art Nouveau fluid designs. It would have been an elegant presentation piece or vanity case to store rings or cufflinks or perhaps pocket watches. The leather is in excellent condition and is slightly worn in the interior.
