A beautiful gentle antique floral still life oil painting of pansies and a lovely blue ceramic vase. It is not signed or dated but has an old back with an aged sticker and the slightly crackled effect give a lovely timeworn feel. It also has a lovely gesso frame. There is one little section where the paint has chipped but it actually looks like it’s part of the flowers. In the Victorian language of flowers, pansies had secret meanings such as “I am thinking of you or I have thoughts of you”
