This is a wonderful old French oil on canvas. Gorgeous abstract background in a wonderful palette and expressive in brushstroke and composition. We love the back too - an old canvas with French ticking fabric makes it just as interesting and beautiful on the reverse. It does have a name handwritten on the reverse too. The date is unknown but it could be around the 1920s/30s. There is some wear and tear and damage on the corner but it really does add to the charm. Easel not included.
