This is the most exquisite late 19th century oil on wood of the beauty of heather on the mountain slopes in Scotland. The colours are glorious with thick impasto technique in various parts. It is not signed. A stunning painting to prop up on a shelf or place on an easel. There are some scratches and marks on the edges and bottom but these are commensurate with age.
