Large Vintage Metal Ballot Box

A wonderful and unusual find and a great piece of political history. The large circular metal box has a movable top sliding slot (which would’ve  bend locked) to allow ballots to be posted and then secured. The  box is very rustic and worn in parts and is sealed (I can’t remove the lid). Love it as a quirky rustic sidetable next to an armchair or in the bathroom. The little slot is big enough to hold long stemmed dried foliage.
