Bought at auction, this is a magnificent French impressionist painting depicting lavender fields in all their beautify and vibrant hues. The brushstrokes are exquisite and you almost feel transported to another time and place. It is signed and has a beautiful earthy wooden frame which is more contemporary.
Gaston Vincent Anglade (1854 – 1919) was a French Impressionist painter known for his pastoral scenes of Dordogne, Pyrenees, and Alsace.
