I love the charm of these paintings. Verre Eglomise, was an ancient European technique popular in 19th-century India, and traditionally featured portraits of nobles or religious scenes. These paintings are a reinterpretation of this ancient craft. Artisans paint directly on the reverse of the glass, creating exquisite unique pieces. There is no hook at the back.
