This is a beautiful oil on board. I love the contemplative look of the subject - as one person described her as "Elizabeth Taylor meets a porcelain doll." It is in a rustic condition with the paint peeling off in parts, which adds an unusual and gorgeous feel to it too. It somehow adds to the evocative feel of the portrait. The date is unknown but it could be around the 1950s and it is unsigned. Gorgeous soft muted tones. There is some wear and tear on the corner of the board.
