A beautiful old atmospheric oil on wood of a river with rapids. I love the light coming off the water and the vast sky and trees and of course the oval shape which makes it so unusual. There are a few little marks on the painting. The gilt frame is in lovely antique condition for its age. Glorious muted hues to create a calming mood in your home. Lean it or hang it on a wall with other interesting decorative pieces. It is not signed but has details of framing from the early 1930s on the reverse. It has been treated for woodworm.
