A truly beautiful small gilt frame with decorative carved detail. It is a matte gold - it may have had more of a rich gilt feel at another stage but it is a wonderful piece. It is in rustic vintage condition with a few chips here and there but the patina is fantastic. Naturally distressed, some minor splits and some spots of the gesso coming away but the patina is fantastic.

STYLING TIPS

I love vintage and antique frames and yes, they can be used to reframe an interesting picture or painting but they are equally striking as pieces on their own. Layer them up with other interesting frames, place an object in the centre and you have a wonderful vignette.
