A beautiful example of African craftmanship, this box is made from hand-tooled red-brown leather with geometric patterns on the lid and beautiful design on the sides. It is consistent with North African Tuareg craftmanship. The leather is in excellent condition both on the exterior and interior. It would've been used to store precious pieces or documents and now makes a wonderful decorative piece or can be used practically too.
