Beautiful little oak hearth stool (which works well as a display stand too), probably late 19th century with lovely shaped slab ends. It is lightweight and scratched in many parts but a wonderful authentic piece. They were designed to sit near the fireplace hearth for warming feet or sitting close to the fire.
